UPDATE JANUARY 2013: PHOTOS OF THE 9TH DESIGN ITERATION NOW ONLINE!

This 9th upgrade includes an improved wing design as well as a slight fuselage change.

The Colonial Viper is THE single-seat fighter spaceship piloted by the humans in the universe of the Battlestar Galactica. Perhaps not as iconic as Star Wars' X-Wing Fighter, but nevertheless another beautiful design by the late Ralph McQuarrie!

This project actually started in the 1980's at the time of the original movie and TV series and went through a total of seven iterations since the initial version... until I arrived at the (currently) final stage, taking advantage of the ever increasing varieties of Lego bricks. I can't think of anything to improve - can you?

The size of the ship is great to buzz the Cylon Base in the living room! Thanks to Formori's idea, this ship could - together with a Midi Scale Cylon Raider - be evolved into a Dogfight Pack.

Only standard Lego parts were used, the only deviation from this principle is the painted-on front air intake and a sticker for the forward fuselage stripe.
