BRISTOWE has taken over Maughan University with his army of GORILLAs. It's up to the GRADUATEs - MILES, MITCH and SU - to stop him. Who will come out on top?

The GRADUATEs (the protagonists) win if one of them reaches BRISTOWE (the antagonist) on top of the balcony. BRISTOWE wins if all the GRADUATEs are captured by GORILLAs.

Graduates and Gorillas is an original concept inspired by two of the Collectible Minifigures: the Series 3 Gorilla Suit Guy and the Series 5 Graduate.

The game would feature eight new microfigures (shown above), with different colours to distinguish between the GRADUATEs. The GRADUATEs would have 1x1 Black tiles on their heads to represent the hats.

This game is for between two and four players, with one player playing as Bristowe (the antagonist), who controls the GORILLAs; the others play as their choice of one of the GRADUATEs, with a maximum of three on the board.

Following a poll that I held on my web site, three GRADUATEs from the original cast of ten were added to the game as extra characters; this change will be reflected in the next and final version of the Flash game.

The game comes with one Game die, and has the following faces/tiles:

    - 2 x one
    - 2 x two
    - 1 x red (cross)
    - 1 x black (GORILLA)

    UPDATED RULES FOLLOWING FEEDBACK
    --------------------------------------------------
    - GRADUATES can move horizontally and vertically - or a combination - by the number rolled on the die. When they reach the stairwell (marked by grey spaces), rolling either a one or two moves them up or down one step.
They can also choose to remain at the same space, which will also allow them to capture any adjacent GORILLAs.
    - Bristowe can move one GORILLA on the board one space by rolling one, or all GORILLAs on the board one space by rolling two.
    - A player misses their turn and doesn't make any moves (including capturing) if they roll a red (cross).
    - If any player rolls black (GORILLA) a GORILLA is placed on Bristowe's choice of available black spaces. If all four GORILLAs are already on the board, Bristowe moves all GORILLAs one space.

Bristowe must use the GORILLAs on the board to capture the GRADUATEs by occupying the same space. If a GRADUATE is captured the respective player is out for the rest of the game; Bristowe wins the game if all GRADUATEs are captured.

GRADUATEs can defend themselves from GORILLAs by picking up the Golden Mallet from the yellow space: this allows them to capture GORILLAs directly next to them (horizontally or vertically) after they have moved (or chosen to stay still). Any captured GORILLAs are taken off of the board.
If a GRADUATE is captured with the Golden Mallet, it is returned to the yellow podium and the player is out.

If a GRADUATE makes it to the top of the stairs (with or without the Mallet), they capture Bristowe and win the game.

Here's some box art I designed for the game, which was based around (but shorter than) the dimensions for the Ramses Return box. As you can see my box-making skills are not up to scratch, but that's how I envision the game being packaged. (Of course, it's up to LEGO themselves if this reaches 10,000 supporters.)

If you like the ideas expressed in this project, and want to see this made into an official game you can purchase and take home, then please support and comment on this project. Then go tell your friends and everybody you know to do the same, because that's the only way it can happen.
