    Rescue Helicopter

    EDIT AS OF MAY 25, 2012: I have changed the project photo to a current picture of the helicopter. The other pictures are still of what it looked like before I added wheels, etc...

    Lego has made several beautiful technic helicopters and some very undersized minifig scale ones, but there is yet to be a set available for a minifig scale, proportional, helicopter.

    The helicopter isn't just an empty shell, it has a variety of fun features including turning rotors, a detailed cockpit, and a winch to lower rescue workers and raise the patient up into the helicopter.

    The roof is removable and inside is the controls and winch mechanism. There is quite a bit of detail inside as well as on the removable roof section.
