UPDATE! (Dec 8, 2011):
Proposed TaleSpin play-sets:
- Louie's Place
An island themed restaurant/pit stop locale for all the warn out pilots and cargo jockey's. The docks, the wooden shack, the palm trees, it's a paradise away from the worries of the sky.
- Air Platform
These are flying/floating docks for Pilots to stop and refill, take a break from flying, and just relax in the sky.
- Khan Industries
A high tech, sophisticated place of business. Shere Khan's business is all about ruling the sky's with his futuristic investments. Robots, sleek fighter jets, experimental devices, only the best at Khan Industries.
- Pirate Island
The heavily guarded secret Island where the Sky Pirates hideout and plan their next big heist. It's a dangerous place for anyone that's not a pirate. Littered with booby-traps, hidden treasure, and loads of Pirate's and their air planes.
-Cape Suzette Defense
Cape Suzette is the capital of the sea, and therefore is an impenetrable city surrounded by towering cliffs. Atop those cliffs are defensive turrets to keep any Sky Pirates at bay, and defend any non-pirate airplanes.
-Higher for Hire
A cozy seaside home away from the sky, and business office for air cargo shipments. Formerly known as "Baloo's Air Service". Unfortunately for Baloo, his business knowledge and constant run-ins with Sky Pirates led to his companies bankruptcy and subsequent buyout by Ms. Cunningham. Renamed "Higher for Hire", the business stayed the same, air cargo deliveries, but the management was shifted away from Baloo and put into the much more capable hands of Ms. Cunningham.
- Conwing L-16 Seaduck
Baloo's trusty yellow cargo plane. Big, fast, and in way over it's head with Sky Pirates on it's tale every day of the week.
- Sky Pirate Plane
The scourges of the sky. Sky Pirate planes may be small, but in packs they can overwhelm any cargo plan in the sky.
- Iron Vulture
A Sky Pirate Zeppelin Flying Fortress. A massive mobile Pirate base fully armed with a compliment of Sky Pirate planes, and other devious means of attack
- Miscellaneous Playsets
Cargo planes, helicopters, sea docks, pirate islands, air platforms, etc...
UPDATE ! (Nov 18, 2011):
Who is interested in instructions for this model? I did after all design this with Lego digital designer (Shame the designed by me future is going away... atleast I got my uses out of it before it's gone:)! If I can garner enough interest and attention for this project, I may just upload the instructions to my bricklink page!
Here's my deal with you. If I can get a total of 200 Supporters, I'll release the instructions online for all to use freely, so you can build this awesome airplane too! Make sure to leave a comment letting me know you are interested in getting the instructions! Now go get to work! Lets get some support in here!
Backstory:
This is the notorious Sky Pirate Don Karnage's Tri-Wing Terror from the Disney animated TV series "TaleSpin".
It was a favorite childhood cartoon of mine, and the airplane was a blast to build and swoosh around!
Development:
Before I put everything together with real Lego bricks, I designed and fully constructed this creation in the Lego Company's very own Lego Digital Designer.
