LEGO CUUSOO

Having gone through several forums and blogs it is quite obvious that the LEGO community is seriously lacking a certain conversion software not offered until now.

In addition to "LEGO Digital Designer", which allows us to build almost virtual, we deserve a software comparable to "LEGO Brick Builder" used by LEGO master builders in LEGO's design office, in order to convert 3D CAD models into buildable LEGO sculptures.

How it works:
1. Find a 3D CAD model online and download it to your computer
2. Upload the 3D CAD model to "LEGO Brick Builder"
3. Start the conversion
4. Save the LEGO creation as "LEGO Digital Designer"-file to your HDD

To get a better impression just have a look at Youtube with catchwords "LEGO Club Show Episode 9.2" respectively "Lego brick model construction with computer software".


The suggested software will feature an interface to "LEGO Digital Designer" in order to amend respectively improve the result of the CAD to LEGO transformation. A further interface to "Pick a Brick" will allow orders of necessary parts with The LEGO Group.

We assume that a corresponding PC-software would result in considerably increased sales especially among the growing group of Adult LEGO Enthusiasts.

We are fully aware that The LEGO Group's philosophy is especially focussing on a creative use of the bricks. We fully agree to this having in mind the younger LEGO fans.

For the Adult LEGO Enthusiasts, who have more money but less time than the young ones and unfortunately often lost a considerable share of their fantasy, the necessary trial-and-error approach to own creations might prevent from re-joining the LEGO community at a higher age.
This in the end means lower sales volumes for The LEGO Group than possible with such a software available on the market.

Therefore the suggested product would create a win-win situation for The LEGO Group and its customers.
