Battle of Endor/ Ewok Village playset

    created by silverado4x on 2012.07.23

    Main Section
Something I have always wished Lego would offer us is an Ewok Village playset in the same fashion as the Death Star playset. A nice large playset with loads of features and hidden treasures in the building of it. Mine is modeled after the Kenner playset from the 80's.

Also, bear in mind, Cuusoo is for ideas! If this reaches 10k, Lego will change alot of it. You are not voting on the model as much as the idea!

I have tried to make an Ewok Village/ Endor playset while keeping "play" in mind. I feel I have made something all collectors will appreciate as well as be marketable to kids, too!

I have also tried to include key scene from Return of the Jedi.

    - the Speeder Bike chase with tree stumps, with 4 Speeder Bikes for Leia, Luke, & Biker Scouts
    - working elevator
    - swinging boulder
    - swinging logs to smash the AT-ST
    - working log trap to make an AT-ST wobble and fall
    - a "throne" for C-3PO
    - working net to capture those pesky rebels, with hanging "chicken" for Chewbacca
    - Ewok catapult
    - Ewok Glider
    - working fire spit to roast Han, how would you like your Han?!
    - Vader's funeral pyre
    - drums with Imperial helmets
    - the throne the Ewoks use to carry C-3PO

The total piece count for this is 3409, but, I used alot of SNOT on the trees. I'm sure if Lego played with this, they could come up with a better way for the trees. I also included 2 AT-STs, one for each "trap". So, 10188 had 3686 pieces and 24 minifigs. I hope this will be around the same number of figs with the same price point, $400 US. However, it is very rough and can be played with and reduced as Lego sees fit! Take out an AT-ST.

The village itself had less then 2000 pieces, so with figs, maybe a model for $200 to $250!

Larger pics are in my Brickshelf folder and can viewed when modded:

I hope you like it and will support it!

    Thanks, Jamie

Here you can see the swinging logs with AT-ST in the middle. The Ewok Glider is perched on top of one of the trees. I used the AT-ST and glider from 8038, Battle of Endor set. Lego will probably make slight changes to these, but, they will basically be the same idea.

The logs can be swung by turning the 2x2 rounds bricks. There are Technic axles and bricks in there to connect them.

Also, the logs do not match up to the AT-STs head. I played with this in LDD, but, couldn't get them theighteght I liked. When/ if, Lego starts a model for this, I'm sure they can make something that lines up and will smash the head to bits! :-)

The Gray crank on the side of the Ewok Village is for the net underneath. You can see Vader's Funeral Pyre here. I hope Lego will try to include some sort of Jedi Spirits here with, Anakin, Yoda, and Obi-Wan.

-Yes, I know they, Lego, have already said trans-clear figs are not going to happen, but, a ghostly looking light blue fig would work, unless, they have figured out a way to make them!-

You can also see towards the top of the village the fire spit. Would you like you Han rare of well-done?!

elevator can be raised and lowered by turning the gray crank on that tree.

Here is the log trap as well as the Ewok catapult. I used the catapult from the 8038, Battle of Endor, to speed things along. The AT-ST is the same as before.
