LEGO CUUSOO

I have been building Birds for a while now and have had a few requests to build Hedwig, Harry Potter's Pet Snowy Owl.

I took up the challenge and am very happy with the way she (he) turned out.

Hedwig is meant to be a female owl but in the films the Snowy Owl is played by males, as male Snowy Owls are whiter and also smaller, and therefore easier for young actors to handle. The film is quite inaccurate in that sense but I actually prefer the look of the male of the species and the female would have been quite hard to recreate. So thank you to whoever made that decision.

This is one of my favourite bird builds to date and thought it was worthy of it's own project as Hedwig, Harry Potter's Owl.

I will be doing some photo editing in future to try and recreate this shot
Harry and Hedwig but with my LEGO Owl instead of the real one :-)
