    RMS-Titanic

    created by rfonseka87 on 2012.09.04

    Main Section
This is my version of the RMS-Titanic, and I will complete it in time to commemorate 101 years of it's sinking. I've been working on it for months- and it has paid off. Right now I'm working on the hull of the ship, and as of yet, the set has about 2000 pieces. Once I'm finished the pieces will number about 3000. The set will be about one meter, 2 inches long. It has a great deal of on-deck details- masts, cranes, lifeboats portholes, and the promenade deck has lights on the ceiling. You can even look in through the windows on the side of the ship to see the corridors. The final model (If approved) will have strings attached to the masts and funnels.

Here is the bow and stern of the ship. I have only made a few subtle changes, because It's impossible to get everything made.

I made this with one word running through my head- detail. From upper deck to lower deck- everything had to be detailed.

I was able to get this much detail by referencing a model of the ship on the internet. Once I finish the hull, I will also create a stand for the set. The hardest part is making the curves of the hull- I'm still working on it! I hope you like this set. For any suggestions, please comment.
    Thanking you,
