    A UCS series of ships

    created by Konajra on 2011.10.29

    Main Section
I would like Lego to create a series of ships from the 1900 century till now. Not just ships with a standard one piece lego hull but a real brick build hull. The ships will be in Minifig scale, lets say 1:40. So create one ship a year and make the series a UCS commercial vessel series.

For example the ships could be :

(Main photo) A Dutch Beamtrawler in a gorgeous color scheme and packed with lovely details.
Fisherman aboard are sorting out the fish while she sails the seven seas.

Around 5500 parts in a lot of great colors All hatches and doors can be opened and the bridge has a detailed interior.

Or the model below I have just finished. It is a 1926 Dutch steam tug. the model is 50 cm long and 12 cm wide. Comes in great colors and consists out of apr. 2300 bricks.

Or you could think of The famous ship of Jacques Cousteau: Calypso.

One meter long and loaded with details. It includes divers, a helicopter, a submarine, scuba equipment and a lot of bricks. A fantastic model.

The ship I've just finished: a 1920 german steam trawler.
It is just as long as the Calyspo but consists out of less bricks . Apro. 6500 bricks are used in this model. it is full of detail and complete with all the rigging. it's apr. 105 cm long, 20 cm wide and 60 cm high.

If Lego creates this UCS series, you can collect a great series of ships of our recent history, just by buying one big model a year.

I know that most of my models are big and use far more bricks then any other UCS model Lego ever released, but Lego probably will change the models anyway.

NOTE: this was first a topic for just the fishing trawler but I thought it could be just as well a series of ships
