Mock-up below, shows design.
Think in blocks turns MIT Scratch Blocks into Lego blocks, with think in blocks you can think about your projects and see what you would need to do to get it working. This means you don't need to clutter up the scratch program and get confused at a later stage. It also allows you to isolate a script that isn't working and see how you could fix it.
MIT Scratch is a program where you can create simple, or complex games, animations and other media. It has different
categories, each represented by a different color. These
categories contain
blocks that can do different things, for example, one block "
Move (10) steps" makes the current object in the game move ten steps in the direction it is facing.
Think in blocks would allow
scratchers, and non-scratchers to get used to the blocks system, or think out the way their
project would work.
The set would contain a few Lego Bricks for each block, coloured to their
category. Another way this set could be achieved would be a few coloured bricks for each category and stickers of every block.
Also if this set were to be commissioned, everyone who bought one would be helping the
scratch team, as the royalties go towards the scratch-labs fund.
This set was created by a
Scratcher and is not an official project of the
scratch team,
MIT or
MIT Media Lab. The
scratch team have been contacted about this set and wish it well.
