    6 axle "Rolling Road" set

    Main Section
    Based on many designs (though primarily the Deutsche Bundesbahn 8 axle "rolling road" wagons), this set comprises a low floor wagon running on 6 axles and an access ramp.

    These wagons have been in active service for many years, carrying entire lorry tractor/trailer units across countries so they can drive off the other end without any fiddly shunting by tractor units to offload trailers. The lorry crew were also carried on these services in coaches normally at the tail end of the service.

    The main deck of the wagon is 7 studs wide, which is wide enough to tackle the current range of both official Lego set models and MOCs built to normal 6-stud wide standards.

    The ramp has been through many iterations in design, mostly brick built designs. Unfortunately, these took up too much space so this alternative was developed.
