    ***************

What's this french expression "Val de Loire" ? What does it mean ?

This valley, spanning 280 kilometers, is located in the middle stretch of the Loire river. It refers to the landscape beauty, added to UNESCO's list of World Heritage Sites in 2000, and, by extension, to Châteaux of the Loire.

On this map, you could localise the UNESCO sector, between Sully-sur-Loire at the east and Chalonnes at the west :

This place, at the Renaissance, was the preferred of the French royalty. A lot of castles were renoved and built, with this architecture so specific of the Age of the Enlightenment. This project seeks to travel this area from west to east.

The first set I suggest is about the famous Château de Cheverny :

What ? You don't know what is it about ? And if you remove the two outermost wings ? You can see maybe the most popular castle from comic books : Marlinspike Hall (Moulinsart) in the adventures of Tintin !

This set is created in the Lego Digital Designer. His dimensions are estimated to 75 x 25 x 32 cm and the number of bricks to 7200, but could be reduced with fewer details.

Oops ! The kennel seems opened and hunting dogs in the garden behind the castle :

This collection could accepted a lot of castles, but I think that just only of them are interesting, like Chenonceau, Chambord, Ussé or Brissac by example.

    Enjoy !
