    World History

    created by mmcclelland on 2013.06.18

    Main Section
    I propose a series of models depicting important moments in world history. These could perhaps come with a description of the events portrayed and help interest children in history. I have designed eight so far and have tried to choose events which are not related to war or conflict (unfortunately much of history is violent)

    I have designed eight sets initially, they are;

    Hillary and Norgay conquer Mount Everest 29 May 1953
    Bell X-1 breaks the sound barrier 14 October 1947
    The RMS Titanic sinks 14 April 1912
    The Berlin Wall falls 9 November 1989
    Apollo 11 lands on the moon 20 July 1969
    Mount Vesuvius destroys Pompeii 23 November AD 79
    The Mayflower leaves for America July 1620
    King John signs Magna Carta 19 June 1215

    I hope you like this idea and give it your support!
