If you wish to learn about the Super Tank you can look it up on Wookieepedia. I will not discuss the background of the Tank on this page.
The model in the main picture gives you an idea of what the finished project would look like. Originally built with bricks from my Lego collection, this model is composed of nearly two thousand Lego pieces. After weeks of building the physical model I reconstructed it in Lego Digital Designer. The minifigures that could be included in this set are as follows: Commander Jet, 2 Camoflage ARF Troopers, a Flame Squad Trooper, and 2 Battle Droid Commanders. Below I will display the Super Tank's features.
If you don't want to read about the functions of the model you can just look at the pictures below and save yourself time! If you are interested in learning about this tank's playability you can continue reading.
-The first feature is a retractable hull plate that moves back and forth to reveal or conceal the warhead launchers. Because of LDD glitches I cannot show the plate in closed position. The plate can move into a closed position I just can't show it. After I built the Super Tank I realized that the hull plate was "back heavy", meaning that it was hard to keep the plate closed when I played with the tank. I put two Technic pins into a bottom corner of the hull plate so I could push the pins in to lock the plate in closed position. The pins can be pulled out again to open the hull plate.
-A plate that forms the "roof" of the operation room(where the controls to drive the tank are) can open so the inside of the room is visible. The Battle Droid Commanders can be placed in their seats so they can operate the tank.
On the plate that forms the front of the operation room, there is a circular opening hatch that a through which Battle Droid Commander can exit the tank or peer out.
The two hatches that I discussed above are pictured open below.
