We will be taking a short break from Club Penguin-themed projects to give a project based on the Disney movie Planes, which released the same day as this project: Friday, August 9, 2013. Perfect timing!
Cars was a major hit in the box office, and scored great reviews from critics. Its sequel, Cars 2, was a major flop. Atleast Pixar made up for it with two great films, Brave and Monsters University. Disney recognized the success the Cars francise had brought it, and began production on the spinoff film, Planes. This film, however, is not made by Pixar, and was made by DisneyToon Studios.
LEGO produced sets based on both Cars films back in 2011. They sold well with many kids. Many FOLs (Fans of LEGO) are dissapointed that the Planes franchise is only getting DUPLO treatment. Well, be dissapointed no longer! Here it is, a model of Rochelle, one of the secondary characters in the film, all using System pieces. The model is roughly around 100 pieces, and being more of a collector's model, has a translusent pole and black stand for display, and to mimic flight. The model can even be taken off the stand, and so the playability begins. The model can be swooshed around with ease, and the propellers can be spun, as well.
