The Lego Batwing is equipped with four gun turrets on each of the wings, as well as a lower hidden bat-cable which responds to a mechanical winding/unwinding lego piece at the bottom of the plane. I have always liked batman, and I really like the old Lego Batwing from the original Batman lego series more than the new one from the DC superheroes series. So, as you can see, I based much of the body design on the old Lego Batwing, but it is, in many other ways, very different. The following images demonstrate the lifting of the cock-pit, and the trap door. For some reason, it doesn't let me upload more than four images, so I am sorry I can't show more. Instead, I will describe it. As for the trap door bat-cable, the lower hatch gets released. Then, when you pull down the cable by hand, pressing the fire at the back engine reels up the cable through a mechanical lego piece within the set. From seeing so many Batman animated movies, I have noticed that the batwing almost always has a Bat-cable at the bottom, and lego has refused to make that significant detail every time. So I decided to replace the missile launcher (which is still a cool design on lego's part) from the old Batwing, and add a bat-cable. Sorry I am not such a great picture taker, and the second image down is supposed to have an arrow in it, but it cut it off.
