    Toll Plaza

    created by neyothegreat on 2014.01.20

    Main Section
On many major freeways and bridges across the globe, traffic is often required to stop at a toll plaza to pay for their right to use a given road. One road, SR-73 in California, uses a unique toll plaza design which would make a perfect LEGO City set. The model seen above would feature an e-toll receiver for 2 traffic lanes, a highway informational sign showing the exit for the toll plaza, 2 standard cash toll lanes, a cash toll lane with the closure indicator signal post, a civilian car, and a 4x4 police car. Included would be 1 police officer, 1 civilian, and 1 maintenance man minifigures. The total piece count (minifigures not included) would be 439 parts.

An example of one of the toll lanes. Each has a divider, speed limit warning sign, closure gate, decorative building (this toll plaza uses pay stations for cash tolls instead of human toll takers), toll collection box, and a signal with warning lamp.

The electronic toll station. Unlike a traditional toll plaza, this one uses a high-tech receiver system to handle electronic toll payments.
