The ALMA telescope is used in an international joint project in Atacama Desert of South America Chile.
And it use the huge parabolic antenna of 12m in diameter more than 50,the magnificent project that is going to solve a mystery of the space operates it in earnest from 2012.

This big parabolic antenna which catches an electric wave from the space.

With the set of conventional LEGO, the small parabola was expressed with one parts.

When I watched this huge antenna, I thought "It just like a LEGO!!".

And I thought the antenna to be very cool and beautyful.

In the past, Mars exploration Rover which is real in the Discovery channel series,
recently, a space shuttle,a space center were released.

I think that the space series product is always gives a dream to children and an adult too.

Therefore, memorialize the operation of this international project,
I want to manufacture the ALMA telescope in the "Creator" series or the "Architecture" series.

In addition,in the case of "Creator",I want to make it "2in1" system.
And I am glad if I change it with a parabolic antenna of 64m(Nickname is USUDA-SAN) of Usuda Deep Space Center(JAXA) that transmitting and receiving a HAYABUSA and AKATSUKI.

It means that we can be play with the #002 LEGO HAYABUSA which has been already manufactured!

I had a National Astronomical Observatory ALMA management admit the use of the image for this suggestion.

南米チリのアタカマ砂漠にて国際共同プロジェクトとして立ち上げられている
アルマ望遠鏡。直径１２ｍを要する巨大なパラボラアンテナを５０台以上駆使して
宇宙の謎を解き明かそうとする壮大なプロジェクトが、来年２０１２年より本格稼働
します。

宇宙からの電波をキャッチするこの大きなパラボラアンテナ。
今までのLEGOのセットでは、小さなパラボラはパーツ１つで表現されていました。
私は、この巨大なアンテナを見た時、「とってもLEGO的」だと思いました。
その造形美に魅せられました。

過去においてはディスカバリーシリーズにて本格的な火星探査ローバーや、
最近ではスペースシャトル、宇宙センターなど、宇宙シリーズは子供たちにとっても
また大人にとっても、とても夢のある商品だと思います。

そこで私は、この国際共同プロジェクトの稼働を記念？して、是非このアルマ望遠鏡を
単体で、出来れば「クリエイター」シリーズまたは、「アーキテクチャー」シリーズにて
製品化したいと考えます。
また、「クリエイター」の場合「2in1」にして、はやぶさやあかつきとデータを送受信
している臼田宇宙空間観測所の64ｍのパラボラも作り変えられればなおうれしいです！！


今回の提案に際し、国立天文台アルマ推進室に画像の使用を許可していただきました。

単体の場合、サイズは1/60を考えています。
ベースプレートは砂漠だけにタン色がいいですね。
やはり、はやぶさも商品化され、あかつきも提案されてることから、「臼田さん」
としても組み換えしたいです。
その場合、お皿部分の大きさが全然違うので、どうしたものかと。

I think the size is 1/60. The size of the dish of the parabola becomes 20cm.

商品化の際には、アルマプロジェクトのこれまでの概要と、電波望遠鏡のしくみなどを
子供達でもわかるくらいの内容で冊子が付けられればと思います。
只今、LEGOの試作をデジタルデザイナーでしていますが、
なかなかうまくいきません^^;・・・出来たらUPしますね。

If this project is commercialized,I want to be attached in a summary of ALMA international project and the structure of the radio telescope.
I think that a booklet as even children understand it is good.
I make this model with LEGO digital designer in now, but it is very difficult :(
